I believe:
- ~ that each and every one of us as human beings is "fearfully and wonderfully made" by our creator God
- ~ that God is both male and female, Wisdom and Love incarnate, black and brown and white and yellow and red
- ~ that human cultures have many names for God
- ~ that human sexuality is a gift of God, to be nurtured in loving mutual relationships, regardless of gender
- ~ that one's faith and religious experience are irrevocably influenced by the tradition in which one grows up. My own tradition of Catholicism both inspires and constrains me, infuriates me and gives me hope. I am always proud to identify as Catholic.
- ~ that religious rituals are a necessary sacred expression of love and trust in a human and divine community, and that such rituals must be grounded in one's own knowledge and experience
- ~ that I have a God-given gift for helping people celebrate the spirituality within them.
